One can only hope that every American citizen that is old enough to vote will do exactly that. we all agree we need change. and that starts with our President.BUT to do that we all need to excerise our right to VOTE. so citizens of this Great Country get out there this Nov.

This will be the first time in my voting history I will not vote for my candidate but for the only person I think has a chance to thrown out the Emperor. Our political system and politicians have gotten so corrupt and greedy they only carry about the (their) money and their power. Would love to see our political system revert back to the 1800's when it comes to money, lobbyist and etc. Better known as no professional, lifetime politician. Do your term..go home and back to your old occupation

RQ I so agree with you. What other job can yohreadu work for 4 years and be set with a beautiful retirement for the rest of your life....EVERYONE needs to follow the same set of rules for this Country to be come strong again. THAT saying" DO AS i say not as I DO "..........no longer works for any of us.

I think this the most important election that any of us, no matter how old we are, have seen. I can't say it any better than to quote Paul Ryan. We have a big choice to make. We’re not just picking the next president. We are picking the pathway for America for a generation. The unfortunate reality is this: Obama is in the White House today because of the mentality, or lack thereof, of his voting base. For the most part, people who voted for him in 2008 did so without regard for his veracity or for the damage his policies do to the country. They cast their vote for Obama because he provides free 'stuff' to them in the form of food stamps, subsidies, direct cash, exemption from paying income taxes, and the list goes on. He is currently advertising on radio and TV to attract more people to sign up for food stamps. Of course, all of the 'free stuff' is paid for by the taxes paid by the working middle class. We can't afford four more years of Barack Obama.

You know when i posted this I was sure we would see some old friends come out to say a few words. who dose'nt like a good political debate. Perhaps I was wrong and Art Wanted message board is past the reviving stage.I would still hope this were false. All it would take would be a couple more friends to add to Thom,RQ,and myself. It really is safe to come out now. ...all the boogie men are gone.

Martha, I for one am tired of having to chose from A or B when neither one of them are acceptable choices. I wish we had some reasonable non radical, well qualified, options to chose from. We deserve to see their full resume before we commit. What do you think?

AGREED Peter....... ALL candidates should show their credentials from Birth Certificates to Tax Returns......including NOT ONLY Presidential Candidates, but, Senators and Congress Persons. We the People should have complete exposure of all Candidates when running for office...... God Bless America !

I agree with you guys. Since they are asking for our help to put them into an office of their choice, we should have full disclosure of their lives with no exceptions.

Don't forget Obama's college transcripts, Thom. Obama has spent over $3M in lawyer's fees and bribes to conceal all of his records, including records that are normally open to the public. Anyone who will go to that extreme to cover up his past has a lot to hide. When these records are finally made public they will show that he is not constitutionally eligible to hold the office of president of the United States. Full disclosure is the proper term, Martha. The only disclosure we have from Obama is lies.

Any other man would have been ousted out years ago. When the first hint of him not being an american citizen came out. I personally think he has gotten away with a lot that he has done ..................Because he is black, no one is voiceing their dissaproval for fear they will be tagged a racist.

I agree, Martha. Liberals keep the race card handy at all times and don't hesitate to use it to win an argument, especially if logic is not on their side (which is the case, more often than not). Once you are labeled a racist it's a label you are likely to carry for a long time, especially if they get the liberal media plus Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on your case. Speaking of the liberal media, I believe that they are very much aware of Obama's secret past and refuse to mention it simply because they are on his side.

I don't know about that John..... I just know our beautiful country is in trouble now and we don't need any more.

Chin up, Martha! After watching the RNC convention this week, I am more optomistic about the future of our beautiful country than I have been in the last four years. If given a chance, Mitt Romney will turn this country around to, once again, head in the right direction.

Martha, I believe we give the Presidential office more credit than it deserves. The Law Makers and those who design and approve all the spending bills, regulations and other major impacts on our nation and how it is run are in Congress, Senate and Judicial seats which are not being looked at as much as the President whoever he may be. If we want real change, that is where we must focus our efforts. Movements like "Clean Sweep" and "Term Limits" seem to make a lot of sense for real new thinking and abolishing to "Good old boys club" and suggested corruption. Whatever happens we shouldn't loose sight that it is God's will and someday we will understand why it all happened.

Just a couple of points: In the case of Obama, the "presidential office" deserves all of the credit (blame) for the condition this country is in. During the first two full years of Obama's term he had full control of both the House and Senate and he did nothing but add trillions of dollars to the nation's debt with his bail-outs and so called stimulus bills, and shove the Obamacare (socialized medicine) bill down our throats. He didn't pass a federal budget during that time and still has not even proposed one. It's true that Congress has the law making function in our government but, don't forget that the president has veto power and his office is where the buck stops when in comes to fiscal, as well as moral policy of our nation. That's why it's imperative that we have a person of high moral standards and one with knowledge, experience and ability. We don't have any of those qualities in Barack Obama. I believe that term limits for members of the House and Senate are a good idea but if we are to accomplish that we must first have a president who also sees the need for it and again, we don't have that in Barack Obama. On the subject of "God's will", I can't believe anyone could blame God for the failure of our great nation. God doesn't want the United States to fail. He didn't borrow money from China and blow it on stupid plans that have failed miserably and done nothing but mortgage the future of my grandchildren. There are forces of evil in the world and sometimes they win out over God's will. Instead of waiting until "someday" to find out why the country went under, now is the time to make intelligent choices and vote for the right "change" in November to assure that it does not go under.

Thanks Thom and Martha for feeling as I do, that our country is on the wrong path and headed in the wrong direction. I hope there is enough of us voting in November to bring about positive change for America.

I don't believe for one moment that the "Forces of Evil" are greater than God. God has given us intellect and free wills to do things on our own. Whether it be a revolution, uprising or to follow the leader the choice is ours. We will all be responsible for our choices in life and in politics. It is no surprise to God which paths we take. But never loose track that God is in charge and in the end his will be done. We will never understand why he lets things happen the way it does and in my 78 years I have had many occasions to ask that question. However, when we look backward, we often have a much clearer view of why things occured and what the results were. Maybe we should take the time in prayer to ask for his guidance on how we are to conduct our life and our politics. God does love our country and that has been proven over and over. Their are "Forces of evil" at work at all times and no matter who you designate as members of that group, in the end God will be victorious.
