We finally received the badly needed rain yesterday. It rained the majority of the day. A slow ground soaking rain.. Now things can green back up before Fall. We really need several days of rain to bring our water table back up where it should be. Our bodies of water are so low. Not just here in NY but all over.

Yup. Places like Texas especially. Here in So Cal, we're always in drought mode most years. Perhaps if they'd stop building there would be sufficient water but the powers being rather take it from the agriculture (farmers) so they can build new housing projects. 94 and sunny for the forecast today.

We've had a hotter than average summer here in Phoenix, AZ, and fairly dry, until just recently. The monsoon finally showed up but we're not getting rain almost daily by any means! The rain is nice and the storms are almost a novelty anymore, but the downside is that the weeds grow like crazy, then I have to go out and pull weeds in heat and humidity, LOL! Many times I chose to paint, instead!

I know that feeling Cindy. I'm on an acre of weeds and my weed whacker really gets a workout this time of year. 89-92 today. A slight dip in heat before it climbs back up

Hi there dear Weather friends........ It is 71 degrees , Rainy and a bit muggy. I will not complain, the ground needs the rain.......I'm hoping it will continue for a few days. Time will tell.

So far we're still lower than normal and the warming trend is stalling which is OK with me. 88-90 today's forecast.

good morning RQ and everyone else that has been following our weather reports. Today in NY it is rather cool and quite lovely, It is sunny out today but no humidity. just crisp light air. It is going to be a beautiful day so i'm going to work in my flower garden. Enjoy your day all.

Must be nice to get a break from that humidity. Today's forecast; 89 partly cloudy with a chance of thunder-storms.

I have nothing to gripe about this weather. Although it was a beautiful crisp day. no humidity at all or very low which made no difference.The last few days have been a blessing for all of us that have smoked. Temp @6:00 PM........79 degrees

I'm starting to think it is safe to say our hot hot weather is over and we are approaching Fall. The trees are starting to turn color so that is a good indicator that fall is on the way. It looks like another cooler day here in the Finger Lakes. ...Temp @ 10:27 AM 70 Degrees with slight breeze

We have not gotten a lot of rain R.Q we did get a thunder storm last evening. lasted about an hour or so. The ground here needed it so badly. Cool day again today. .........TEmp 66 degrees.

I spoke to soon. About an hour or so after i posted .........it started to rain............It rained hard all day and into the wee hours of this morning. the ground is still wet so i would not be surprised if it rained today as well. Not complaining ......we needed this rain. Temp today...56 degrees

We're worlds apart with the weather. Today's forecast is 94-97 with 100's expected later this week. We're just now getting into our summer mode.

It's quite nice here in the Northeast...........Sun is out..... Slight breeze......and 68 degrees. My kind of day.
