Bianca, what source or program did you use to make your web site?? I might want to try to redo mine down the line, right now mine is based off of some generic web that was done for me.. Thanks

and when you do your really large prints, are you printing them(and if so, what printer are you using) or are you having a lab print them..

Gary, if you use Gallery, I could set it up. If you goto lightroom someone has a plugin that lets you export directly from lightroom to gallery. You need a server though that supports sql and php, I think those are the requirements. It can be setup as a shop or just a gallery.

I used Frontpage some, HTML a lots....U can now select server providers all over the place that has pre-sets...and u can use those and then use HTML to customize it...

Some sites are advertised on TV for $4.95 a mo...as low as that....

Lots of work Gary....to put it out there so u can be found..Keyowrds do not cut it any more...Its all about SEO.....i had to learn a lots about it...its all in Meta data....

Google got away with keywords...very little keywords helps to be found....Meta data is very important ....when Google sends robot to your site according to your sitemap that u upload into google robot will look for meta data scripts that u have to have as a part of your SEO.....

I am still working on that it is a long process... Although i dont depend on Internet traffic but rather traffic from my shows and i handle large amount of business cards at those shows...

As for printing...i do not print anything any more even though i have ability to print 19 x 13 i dont...

I mainly focus on canvas.....and Canvas prints the best is CANVASONDEMAND.COM

I like their colour saturations and i like their friendliness...they ship direct to your customer....everything u see on my website i have sample prints from them...so i know in advance what my client will get....

For my prints i DO NOT USE COSTCO like some pro photographers they call themselves so...use...Images are louse and i hate their quality paper...

I sometime depend on image use Portrait paper....and those images singing a song QUE SERA SERA.....

It is expensive but it is EYE CATCHING.....its awsome

Yes, I am aware of the meta tags, and my site has them.. I rank very high on google and yahoo,msn .. although there is a jerk that is using my name on shutter , his name is Gary McCollugh or something like that but he is using Gary Glass, would not be so bad if his photography was better..LOLL but he is riding on my coat tails and it has taken me a few years to get my ranking where it is..

I think he is doing it because I would not sell him my site GaryGlass.com he said he writes and under the name of Gary Glass, don't ask me why, I would think he would be proud of his name... but soon after I told him no as I WAS Gary GLass and was promoting my name, a few months later I started to see this new GaryGlass photography showing up and it was him, he is out of Virginia..

Gary,

Open account with PAYPAL if u dont have one....very easy to install on Website and PAYPAL has also virtual terminal for credit cards if u wanna do shows....so u can process cards now on laptop...

U can customize with Paypal any price u want like i have on my pull down menu...U dont need price under each image...U can have it hover over image and see price go to Paypal button and select that price...simple

I like paypal cause they give u security when those tiefs wanna rip u off...

No shipping to client intill i receive money through paypal....And they cancelation policy is very strict so client cant turn around after receiving merchandise and cancel and u are out of money and merchandise...That doesnt fly easily with Paypal......

I do have a paypal that I have had for a number of years when I was selling and buying on ebay..I just don't have the ability to add it to the site I have now.. it is a template type web. of course I don't know much about doing web, have not had the time to really learn it.. too many other learning curves to learn in photoshop etc...

Yes u can ad to template ...u have to ask your provider to tell u where u can go to..Each template ability site has a different setup...

Usualy template websites have a builder online software and u can go edit on a home page ONLY and go to edit this page.....and go under footer

Copy the banner from PAYPAL (go on paypal account and look website banners) but u have to have setup on Paypal first with prices u want....then u will copy that into your footer on your website....

Try fiddling with these i gave u...your web provider might not be in this order but u wil finagle it through.....somewhat...

There is this site they advertise on the TV intuit.com for $4.95 a mo...it has all presets ....

U can build it in matter of minutes....no need to pay checkout basket hundreds of dollars with Paypal account...

Gallery 2 has it included, I think it integrates with Paypal and Google Checkout. Gallery 3 due out either later this year or early next year (markosphoto.com/gallery4) as of right now its not integrated but on there list to add, they do have a module for it though. It has a pretty big following so as soon as the 3rd one is finished there will be lots of modules and people will create themes as well, for those who don't want to mess with css. The default colors are bright.

http://gallery.menalto.com/ its open source so its free and the support is great as well.

That is so kind of you....I know my language is in the way....and i cant help that...I speak English since age 6 with private lessons my mother gave me...But i also speak 8 other languages...and i guess i never will do it right...
