I am also a self-taught artist, and I consider being a digital artist a most enjoyable and relaxing hobby.

I too am a self taught artist and love to paint. Have been doing it for years and you always keep learning. I enjoy seeing others art and some of the different techniques.

I am just starting to learn about art and painting. I love it. Never learned from any institutions before. I just watched YouTube as reference.

I am also self-taught. I started painting 15 years ago and spent much time buying art books and studying the impressionists. My mother was an artist and was very excited when she saw me becoming one as well. She died at age 98 and got to see the first 5 years of my work. I work in oil and watercolor and have a little art gallery of my own in space at the business.

also self taught...I picked up a brush and some cheap folk art paints in Sept of 2003 when my brother passed away on Rosh Hashanah morning. I decided to paint as a tool in managing my grief...I had heard that doing something with both your hands and mind would help ease the pain. So I thought of painting not as a hobby or work I would pursue...had no intention of becoming an artist. But the works I did impressed my friends and they actually bought them...one of my older lady friends did. She still has them in fact. She begged me to continue to paint after the pain of Jacob's deathed eased and I did and I got better at it and I learned to identify as an artist. Now I can't imagine my life without creating art. But I took no formal training. I learn by doing and by looking at others' art. I used one artbook one time and it was helpful actually, it had tips for laying in a landscape painting. I dont do a lot of landscapes but some of my outdoor pics have that element...such as an outside rural wedding might...and have done one...pics of lions and lambs etc. I might read another art manual someday but have not felt a need since. Or else I couldnt afford one lol....

Mostly self taught . When I retire I start painting for my pleasure et now I am a member of a art association in Texas . I still learn along the way , thanks to my fellows artists . Even if I sold some pieces I do not consider myself a true artist , just a sunday painter . I still love it . Have a great painting day .
