Hi, I am a Self Taught Artist, Love to Draw, Paint, And Create, since I was a Little Girl.

I love the concept of creating your vision through art. My favorite medium is Charcoal.. it is just the way it lays on the paper that has always interest me to draw. I suffer with Depression and when I started to draw and paint this year I was more relaxed than anything.

As a self taught artist I just know what I am doing is the right thing to do. this is my passion, my vision, my art.. enjoy...

Gee I've been a member here for years, but have never taken the time to come visit and post on message boards...what a loss that is for me. I too am a self-taught artist. Actually I was forced to retire from working because of severe Memory Loss, however God had a different plan in my life...in 2005 I began to experiment in many different mediums, acrylic on canvas of landscapes and seascapes is my very favorite. I've been having fun of late creating some small and large zentangles because I've had take time to rest and recoop. They are so much fun and I recommend them to anyone who's having to behave..ehehehe!!! Blessings

I am also self taught , started painting in oils at 13 years old , when i left school at 15 years old in th mid 60´s i of coures did not have the education to enter art school , but at 18 years old i had my own studio and selling my work , paintings and sculptures...art in variouse forms has been good to me and at 66years old i still paint most days even though i have closed my gallery..i am now getting to grips with the internet as a sales tool.....and thank you everyone who has commented on my work , i wish us all succsess.....

self taught had some help from youtube a fella called steven cronn shows fundamental rules but try to stay true to my own style

Hi, I'm a self taught artist too. Just enjoy to paint and see my work at exhibitions. At this moment I participate in a group exhibition in Double Tree by Hilton NDSM in Amsterdam. It's very nice to see your own paintings hanging at an exhibition. So I continue painting in the way I like. Hope to see more of you. Have a lovely and creative day!

I am self teaching in progress. Retired a little over a year ago and am now doing (finally!) what ive always wanted to do. Paint. I try to pick up tips from on line, utube.. Etc...just joined this site so im new at this also. Maybe get some pointers on how to improve...
