We are excited to announce the grand opening of our latest website...ArtCardsWanted.com This website was created for the purpose of buying, selling, collecting and trading art cards. An art card is a small pocket-sized piece of art. They are also commonly know as ACEO (Art Cards, Editions & Originals) as well as ATC (Artist Trading Cards). They can be original artwork you create or prints/reproductions of your original artwork. The official standard size of an art card is 2.5" x 3.5" (64 x 89 mm) - the same size as a baseball trading card. We had hundreds of people fill out our art card survey in the last few weeks and we received some great feedback from you. Because of your suggestions, we felt it was important to create a whole new website dedicated to collecting these cards, instead of lumping it into ArtWanted.com - Sure, we will be promoting art cards on ArtWanted.com as well, but we wanted to have a site that was 100% focused on this fast growing art form. The website is not 100% complete, but we wanted to get something up so you can start learning about art cards and start creating them. Over the next month, we will be adding new pages to the site and additional links/information on the ArtWanted.com site as well. ART CARDS 101: ArtCardsWanted.com is dedicated to both ACEO and ATC collectors. ATC (Artist Trading Cards) and ACEO (Art Cards, Editions & Originals) are similar, but there are some differences. ATCs are only to be traded with other artists, not bought/sold. They are traded via mail or in person at local trading groups. You can find some of these groups on our trading page. ACEOs are the same size card, but can be bought/sold and traded. Most of this has been done on eBay, but there are other websites that have ACEOs for sale (like ArtCardsWanted.com). The ACEO concept, opens the art card world to everyone, not just artists. ACEOs can be original artwork, or they can be prints/reproductions of original artwork. There are three main categories of art cards.
FREE ART CARD WITH SIGNUP We encourage everyone that is interested in art cards, to visit ArtCardsWanted.com and create an account. There is no cost to join, and unlike eBay, there is no fee to list your cards for sale. As a "thank you" for joining this new site, you will be mailed out a free art card sample. This card can be used to start or add to your existing collection. It will also give you a good idea of the quality cards we can make for you from our art card printing program. ACEO PRINT SERVICE All members of this new site can use our ACEO Print Service to create art cards of their artwork. Simply upload your artwork, select the package that you want, and we will mail them to you. From there you can sign and number the cards and then place them for sale on the site. Instead of selling them, you can also give the cards away as premium business cards, give to gallery owners or mail them out to people that want a sample of your art. With this service, you will also be able to create your own 'deck' of art cards that feature different artwork from your portfolio. SUMMARY We are very excited about this new site and this fast growing art form. We encourage you to check out the site and give us your feedback. We are sure you have a few questions, so check out our FAQ section of the site: http://www.artcardswanted.com/faq.cfm If you can't find the answer on this page, just post your question here and we can answer it for you. Welcome to the world of collecting art cards!

Beautiful site AW! I couldn't find a way to search by artist. Do we each have a home (portfolio) page? I'm not sure which page to link to my other sites.

Having trouble with uloading to your print program but I know it is the FIRST DAY so no complaints here! Was wondering... I notice there is the option to create limited edition prints. There is also the option to store them on the site until they are purchased. If I wanted to do that (save them on the site for the $.50 fee), but sign them before they were sent to the buyer, can I do that? OR do I have to buy them all up front first? This is VERY exciting and the site looks great. Thank you for including one of my images in the layout!

Thanks to those that checked out the site today. We found the reason for the sign-up error some of you got and have fixed it. If you were not able to get signed up, try it again now. The ArtCardsWanted.com does not have a seperate artist search and image search, they are combined. So if you search for the name of an artist, the artwork for that artist will show up. As for the signing of the cards, this must be done before any purchases are made. All cards posted on the site, must be cards you have in hand, ready to ship out. This site is not like ArtWanted.com, where we print on demand. You must have the cards already printed or drawn/painted, before you post them on the site. Please let us know what other questions you may have, thanks.

If I want something on the back of the Open Edition cards and if I have you store and handle shipping them out where would I submit the back of the card information? I noticed under Purchase ACEO Prints there is a place to enter back info. I am not purchasing cards at this time. If there are instructions some where for this situation I must have missed it. Thanks Jude

The 'purchase ACEO prints' area of the site is not yet completed. This should be fully working by Monday. When you order prints, you will be able to upload your own background image for the card.

ArtCardsWanted.com is not a print-on-demand website, like ArtWanted.com is. You would need to order/print/make the cards before you post them on the site. If you order the cards through us, then you have the option to upload a file for the back of the card. Hopefully this makes sense, but if not, let us know.
