That is Just Totally Awesome Sean........Just Beautiful!!

Well, the 15 layers were for the shades of color overlays....'cause I'm not too kOOl yet with the "airbrush" and it's many %'s of values and intensities.

.....and YES Edward.....IT does seem that I'm putting a brush in my mouth .....and my foot.....Yet this is alot of fun.....Can't wait to buy a wacom.....Still trying to "study" Painter 8....haven't made much progress though!!! Again Sean....Thanks for all the instructions and that goes for you too ED......

Great tutorial Sean ... I have a wacom but I gave it to a co worker ... My day job is more of a photomanipulation type gig ... and I'm used to my mouse ... funny thing is that I'm left handed yet do all my digital work with my right hand.

Your tutorial was a success .. I've learned a few new things that I'll apply to the techniques that I already use.

Thanks

John...YOU would be very good at this with some time spent on it.It is exactly the same way as I paint oils...,truly like having a brush in your hand..no different man.Get that wacom back and goof around with it,not kidding, you would excell with it.

Hi Sean, it looks so easy - seeing how you have done it ;) Maybe I should give the digital work a try. Looking so great!

Nice tutorial. I'm using a wacom tablet intuos². The firt week was hell, than it's like a pen to me. And yes i use also 300 dpi for the drawings i make. And lot's of layers it give me more controls. My favorit tool to draw is de smudge tool(use it a lot). For my shadows is the burntool also a nice tool! For a backgrond you can also use a gradient....whit de smudgetool, mostly it give's a nice looking

The picture below is made whit a gradient and that tool... (sorry for the poor english of me..) :(
