Dear Sir: Why not have a contest every week that would have universal appeal. The two you have do not appeal to me at all. Like Portrait, Landscapes, Still Life. Thank you, Evonne Bishop

I had an interesting idea for a contest that I would like to see on ArtWanted. In Ezekiel 1:4-18 of the bible it describes a set of four angelic creatures. (They are all four the same.) These creatures are describes well enough to have all pictures be uniform but leaves room for personal artistic style! The contest would be simple, just who could portray one or all four of these creatures best (Working on just the description of course.) You could limit it to the description from just one type like NIV or whatever version the artist chooses... (I don't think the descriptions differ.) Well, I would love to see the different portrayals of these creatures. Thank You! ***AnimaMutt

I really like the idea of the subject "holidays and Easter is coming very soon. It is a holiday much like Christmas is as it holds a great deal of religious idealism in it. This is an artists dream! How about a contest for depiction of the meaning behind Easter? Can we huh? can we?

I would like to see a contest depicting springtime! Any kind of artwork which represents springtime would be admissible. Come to think of it, it would be great to have a contest for each season of the year! :-)

Ideas for contests: 1. Mandalas (designs with a center) 2. Creative collaboration (3 people collaborating on an image) 3. Pick an animal (any media, any style. 4. Mythological creature-design your own. 5. Colors 6. Illustrate a poem 7. Illustrate an idea or quote. 8. Create an image to express a feeling... 9. Mix unusual media... 10. Beginner's Mind-do something you've never even thought of before..risky experiment...

I was thinking like best cleche-pick a quote and them artists have to interpret them into their likeness...this could appeal to all fine, abstract, 3-D, everyone views differently...my quote "it is a gift to be able to see things others cannot it is a talent to be able to make them see what they think they can't."""-e- aka erikalynn

Maybe we could stretch a bit here? reach beyond the usual mythical fairies we have seen so much of? Isnt there something else in this world besides the mythical side? How about we look at surealism?

ohh, or we could tackle theology! that would take care of the religious and the secular views out there! and its broad enough to let each person take it as they see it! (in portrait, or in symbolism, or whatever meets thier fancy)

Why not have many contests at once , What's the difference? ...every week.....People .... "Pick your Poison" I'd like Landscapes every week....or how about "New Painting of the week" ???
