Old Barn

I found painting this picture trying to portray the brilliant sunshine of the day was difficult because of all the green. Any opinions?

Hi Ellen, Maybe making the shadows a little darker and more noticeable and perhaps adding some browns and yellow ochre to the road might bring out the different shades of green. It's a lovely painting. Vivian

darkening shadows will help with the contrast, tho you seem to have a good idea of how bright the green should be to portray this bright sun. go for the shadows m'love! great work

Well I love old barns, but being in construction the first thing I noticed are the proportions are off. Mainly on the right side and the roof in general. But omitting the "builders" eye, I like the way the whole picture feels. Very nice piece.
