Well Eva, perhaps you should give yourself permission to have some time off painting. You could go round a few exhibitions or chill out and read a book or just rap with friends down at your local cafe or..................

hey Eva, do you do sculpture or something totally different to painting. I always do ceramics or sculpture when I'm sick of painting and vise versa.

Grab yourself a slab of clay and try it. Maybe you just need a different type of art as a back up for when you're feeling this way.

I have just about had it with my Sean Connery painting - so I put him away and pulled out an abstract that i started after painting the Angelina Jolee painting...

Works wonders for me, to switch mediums or styles for a bit to refresh one's inner spirit...

Or just go outside and snap some photos.... Or better yet go smell some roses or play in the snow!...

Life is way too short to be bored...

I found that doing abstracts all the time gave me far too much freedom. To this end I alternate what I do by forcing restrictions upon my work, you know constraints that are there by the nature of what I'm doing.

When I feel closed in, I go back to Abstract and the freedom. Take care, Laz.
