No replies allowed here?

I just happened to come across my greeting when I first joined here a week or two ago and I noticed that nobody ever replies in this posting. I didn't see any rules...are people not allowed to reply or do the artists on here just not bother to be friendly to each other? I'm curious, I've belonged to many groups of different types and few are ever this quiet and uncommunicative.
