Hello, Here is my entry for the celebrity contest. I just started drawing this year (had no idea I had drawing talent). This Marilyn Monroe picture I am submitting has great meaning to me. It was the very first drawing I did in January '08. Thanks! :)

In Nepal I stayed in a Tibetan monastery for a while where I got to learn alot about the Daia Lama. Wich inspired me to do this pastel of him...No he didn't pose for me...would be nice though. A monk in the monastery loaned me a picture he had taken in Daramsala in India (Where the DL lives at the moment). Really special man, eventhough his people get tortuered and killed and the tibetan culture get systematicly destroyed he remains such a friendly, jolly and compasionated person (even for the chinese).

Henry Charles Bukowski (1920 – 1994) was an influential Los Angeles poet and novelist. Bukowski’s writing was heavily influenced by the geography and atmosphere of his home city of Los Angeles. A prolific author, Bukowski wrote thousands of poems, hundreds of short stories, and six novels, eventually having more than fifty books in print. He is often remembered as “The Poet Laureate of Skid Row”.
