VOTE DATES: Aug 4 - Aug 10, 2008

DESCRIPTION: You see them in the news, on the magazine covers, on your CD albums and DVD cases, now it's your chance to draw them. For this contest, submit a painting/drawing of a famous celebrity. No tracing or photo manipulation allowed for this contest, but you can use a reference photo to draw/paint this famous person. Who knows, after this contest, you might be the celebrity!

RULES: The submission must be artwork that you have done yourself. No photographs or 3D renderings for this contest please. Entry must fit the theme of the contest. Please do not mention your name or have links in your contest description. Only one entry per person, so make them count!

PRIZES: The 1st place winner of the contest can pick an item from the ArtWanted.com prize pack and will be displayed on our home page for a week. The top 4 winners will be entered in our monthly drawing for a $50 prize.

This is a recent Acrylic painting on canvas of one of my favourite actors, Ed Harris. I think I captured the intensity and sensitivity in his eyes quite well. I was also inspired by his strong facial bone structure. No doubt a very good subject for a sculptor also.
