A young squirrel showed up behind the office of our apartment complex yesterday, minus the mother to warn it away from us humans. It declined my meager offering of stale cat treats but surely went for the almonds that a neighbor provided. I was told it had been named George the day before when it actually ventured into the office, where it climbed up a woman's pants leg!! Neither came to any harm and much excitement was created for our senior residents.
