The Unseen

This is a commission drawing of a man that survived a bad motorcycle accident. He lost a foot and one side of his face had to be worked on and so the eye on that side does not see as well. In this picture I drew the beauty of Gods creation in the heavens with all the stars in the sky to show that out of all He has ever created He made it all for what is most precious to Him and that is us. The flames symbolizes life that God gave us all and it can be just a small flicker or it can burn as bright as ever or it can burn out. It just depends on how we live it for God. The feathers are to symbolize how God sheltered him in those dark times as said in Psalm 57:1~ Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. The lightning in the drawing is to symbolize God and show His great power in all of this. Psalm 29:7~ The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning. 2 Samuel 22:13-14~ Out of the brightness of his presence bolts of lightning blazed forth. The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. The scripture verse that is in the drawing was chosen because it fit better with the images drawn. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow but God will always be. Our homes, our cars, our money and even our own lives could be here one moment and gone the next but it’s the things we can't see (God, Heaven, eternal life) that will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:18~ So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
