The Scarecrow

"The Scarecrow" - this might be my favourite of all my Autumn/Halloween paintings so far! I've painted this crow-winged faery girl sitting in a cornfield - a slightly sinister scarecrow behind her, a desolate farmhouse in the distance. The scarecrow doesn't necessarily seem to work though - not only is thee a crow-girl right by him, there is also a lovely great crow right on his arm! I love the autumn colours of this sunset too - I can almost feel a chill in the air..... But she has a black kitty cat on her lap at least to keep her warm! My own original acrylic painting. ©Jasmine Becket-Griffith - prints are available at http://www.strangeling.com and http://zazzle.com/strangeling*
