I got Charlie in 2002 when he was six months at the animal shelter. I'd already lost two dogs in the past two years from old age and I wanted another mixed golden retriever. Charlie was perfect for the walks we'd be taking together in the neighborhood and through the woods. He's been a perfect companion and shows his gratitude every day. This is my pastel painting of him, it's about five years old.
