Jeffrey Cook, a noted New Orleans artist, died in the city he loved at age 48. He specialized in dark, brooding figures, made of found objects and wrapped in many layers. He had visited our home some years ago and we had spent a memorable evening together. Artists seem to suffer more than others, probably due to their inherent sensitivity. His death touches many people. I hope this work helps keep his memory alive.
