Antique Papaya - Pastel and Watercolor

This work has been a pain in r-ear. Is been on going for months and I just can't get around so many veins, seeds, spots and other features. I hate it! I love it! I want to finish it! I want to set it on fire! lol

this is very detailed and superb work,I wonder how you mix the two mediums, never seen these two done together before.

Artist Reply: Thank you so much. Well, I do all the wet work first, wait till it dries fully, then I do my dry medium. One layer at the time. The watercolor paper has a texture that makes painting thin lines very challenging, I knew before I started that this was going to be a hard one to get done...I was right.
