If I were to see your art on the international art see someday, I would not be surprised on bit. I wouldn't even gasp, as some would do, and ask themselves, why? or say, "my uncle Billy Bob, or Sally Mae paints just like you do". Nobody paints like you do. Your painting style requires a great deal of self inquiry, education, high intellegence quotient, and confidence. You are not the average, everyday, follow the crowd kinda painter. I percieve that thou art a Minister, a social commentator, a James Baldwin that paints. A few of your paintings remind me of the book: The Fire Next Time, by Mr. James Baldwin. Some remind me of the writer Donald Goines. You are soooo talented, my captain.
Artist Reply: Thank u Jerrie.. that is truely the greatest compliment any one has given me about my work..I take alot of pride in what i do. It's a reflection of self and my culture, past and present.. The fire next time is a great read,, am a fan of Mr baldwins writings. i dont know much about Goines but i will be lookin him up.. again thanks to u very much and i will keep doin this.. it's all i know..
