Artist Reply: Hi Bernie how lovely to hear from you! This is a style I work in occasionally when I fancy a change. Sometimes, when i paint in full colour, i find that I get "bogged down" trying to get everything too right and the use of monochrome helps me to focus on the elements of the painting that are more important.
