From a photo of my friend, Mr Timothy Penycate's German Shepherd. I took the photo when I was out for a walk in the woods with Benj - and I think the excitement shows clearly on his face!! Soft pastels on Waterford rough watercolor paper

Artist Reply: Thanks for the comment! This one was about 4 months in the making - as I had to go back to sea and do some work when it was only half finished. 'Must say, I am pretty happy with it myself, for once!!!
