I am convinced that bumper cars were invented by children as torture devices for inept adults. No other amusement park ride can turn my ordinarily sweet-tempered children into fiendish little monsters so quickly. The minute the buckles are secured, they who have not been in agreement over one simple thing in the past year let alone the car ride to the fair, will unite in a war cry of 'Get Mommy!' With blood-curdling giggles they will pursue, circle and drive poor mommy into a corner where she will endure a relentless pounding of bone-rattling bumps as they take turns wizzing around the arena. Now that I think of it, my cars never work. Try as I may, I've never been able to drive them two feet in a straight line. Perhaps those mild-mannered carnival ride attendents are in on their evil scheme...... Original 5 x 7 gallery-wrap mini painting currently listed for auction on ebay.
