Oil pastels on brown package paper. Plein air artwork. 30*40 cm. This fountain, showing Pinocchio that, looking at himself in a pool discovers he has grown donkey ears, was created around 1950 by local sculptor Nino Spagnoli. It was placed in a loved children playground and since then it has given pleasure to thousend of children becoming one of my most beloved childhood memories. Even while i was painting it a little child came by saying "ciao Pinocchio" :)
