Acrylics on paper (14x9 ins). This little boat moors up on the shores of Clew Bay, near my home. OK so she's a little bit tatty with her peeling paint and mismatched colours, but, to me, this shows character and the effects that a lifetime spent battling the wild Atlantic can have :o))

Really nice painting, Jacki. You captured the boat's character beautifully.

Artist Reply: thanks again Dan...........as you've probably guessed, I've a real fondness for this slightly tatty lady (it takes one to know one I guess!)

This is Awesome,, what a great painting!! We have alot of the same here on the shores of South Carolina.. shrimpers, crab boats, etc., there's nothing like a bunch of boats bobbing on the water, the birds circling around waiting for a snack..and the breeze softly lifting the hair off my forehead..

Artist Reply: You have it there exactly Marisa............lifes simple pleasures - you can't beat them :o))

This boat has such character! Love the bay the colors- beautiful work again Jacki!

Artist Reply: Thanks again Cathy.....glad you like her ......it always amazes me how the colours of the bay change with the light - they can be inky, sapphire blue, green, gray, silver even brown, depending on the light and the tide
