Learning to Fly

Some of you might remember that I had a pair of Red-Breasted Nuthatches take up residence in the bird house. I am proud to say that they had 4 babies hatch and all are healthy and happy. This is mom on the left with the darker beak, the babies have a yellowish/orange beak, and are duller in color. She is trying to get them to fly, as you can see the little one took off without opening his wings, but he did make it LOL. Taken in my backyard, Mission, B.C.

What a fantastic moment caught! Just love it!

Artist Reply: They were highly entertaining, they have all moved on except for one, I think it's the male who found the house originally. Thanks again Jessica, sorry for the delay.
