Media: ball point pen / colored pencil__________In the distant future...in a post-technological, post-apocalyptic age...there exists a tree. This tree has grown strong and wise over the centuries with love from the elements. One of the most important of these nurturing elements is the human one. There is no more need for computers, though information is still in the air. There is virtually no need for language, none spoken at least. In the natural future, the consciousness of humankind and that of nature are fused. As humans then better understand nature's need for care and friendship, so too will nature "grow" to understand our needs: food, water, and shelter. This particular tree shaped itself over the years out of love for it's family, physically becoming a living, visual memory for everyone to cherish. The two faces, man and woman, in the negative space around the tree were the ones who planted the seed and first cared for it. They are ancestors of this family tree :) ................This is the first of a few drawings around this concept, others include "The Long Road Back to Simplicity" and "Survivors"
