WORK IN PROGRESS

I came across this rather old stone and slate cottage in North Wales. It was a great place to walk around, and I later got talking to one of the locals(A dear old Welsh lady who spoke rather softly in the native Welsh tongue,it's a good job I can understand Welsh),anyway, she told me that her great, great great grandfather built it and her family lived in that cottage for years upon years until it became unsafe and crumbling. An effort started by her younger family to bebuild the cottage but alas ran out of money and it's been in his state of repair for about 10 years now. It's a great pity really because I could see a little tear in her eye as she was telling me this little story. In this day and age far too many people never talk openly with older people and it's a shame that lots of stories like this never get aired and this dear old lady welcomed a chance to tell me this. Very cool capture - I can imagine a family with giggling children running around this once beautiful cottage - wonderful photo!
