This is the other of the two finished illustrations for the fairy tale: "Bluebeard" by Charles Perrault. (original title: "La Barbe Bleue" but I am Dutch, so for me it is called "Blauwbaard". This image is too small for the text to be readable, but this is the explination of the Dutch text: "When she reached the door of the little room, she paused for a while, thinking of the prohibition which her husband had made, and reflecting that harm might come to her as a result of disobedience."
