In the Celtic mythology, Oenghus, God of love, fell in love with a woman he had seen in his dreams. This woman was searched for and finally found, so he went there to take her with him. She, however, used to live one year as a swan and one year in human form. When Oenghus promised that she could always return to her lake, she went with him. He could always recognize her by the collar she wore.
