Pardon me, could you point me towards the pond?

This is a female American Widgeon. She is very dull in comparison to her mate, she lacks the bright green and white on the head that the male has. These birds are surface feeders or dabblers, meaning they don't dive for food, they simple tip themselves into the water to forage.

Artist Reply: These birds have so much to eat its not funny, not only do they provide feeders for them but you can also buy seed. That day, I think there had to be about 30 girl guides armed with bags of seed. I Thanks you so much Jodi!!
