Alphonse Ardoin (Bois Sec) 2008

Alphonse Ardoin, also known as "Bois Sec" (Dry Wood), was a famous Creole musician and singer from South Louisiana. Rob Jones, an artist who is passionate about all forms of contemporary music, suggested I do a portrait of "Bois Sec" in exchange for one of his works. He will do a self portrait and "Bois Sec" will go to Ohio to Rob. I think we will both benefit from the exchange.

Just FANTASTIC, David...The music and rhythm can be heard here :-)...very "energetic " composition and the colour use add extra voice to it.
