Artist Reply: Hi Barbara,thanks for your kind comment. I used the spot meter on my camera to take an exposure from the white of the flower,try this if your camera has that facility,plus i always under expose by 1/4 of a stop as it's always easier to lighten an image in photoshop,but as you say once a highlight is blown you might as well reach for the delete button.anyway don't give up,keep trying and you'll find a way that works for you,good luck Barbara.
