This reminds me of graphic novels. It has a good composition and the color scheme recalls the dreary downtown where a runaway might seek refuge. Most runaways are abused within 48 hours of their arrival in a big city. Sad commentary.
Artist Reply: Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I am really enjoying your site and looking around..my husband likes it too..BTW he was the model for this drawing. I was exactly attempting to draw one of the frames for a graphic novel. I must admit I didn't get very far.

I have a really good photo up your alley of my son Jake at the feet of Honey Boy Edwards. Edwards is a special old friend of his who really helped him with his music...I may post it if I can find it.
