Family Outing

On our way home from a long day up the mountain, we crossed this river, I screamed PULL OVER STOP THE CAR!!! lol I could see in the distance all these white specks floating along. We got out and walked along the dyke, hoping for a closer vantage point. They never did come close enough but what a sight to see. I tried to do a count, there were more outside the field of vision, I counted 33 swans total. Its usual to see a flock of maybe 10. It was a beautiful end to a wonderful day of photography. Taken in DeRoche, B.C.

Lets get some bread and feed them.. COOL

Artist Reply: That's a great idea but you have to make it grain up here, they banned the feeding of bread although many still do it, since they don't enforce it unless your caught on a reserve. Bread fills the birds up falsely and thus the bird thinking it is full as bread expands inside you, the bird then does not eat enough and can become sick as a result. As a bird lover, I tend to err on the side of caution and just give them the seed :)

Great panoramic shot.

Artist Reply: I just bought another lens with longer distance. I'm going back to see if I can get a closer shot this time and hopefully a brighter day wouldn't hurt either. Thanks for the comment Delores :)
