Autumn at Mt. Iide

This tree is called a Dakekanba tree. It grows at higher elevations in Japan, from about 2000 metres to 2500 metres. These are the early October colours at Mt. Iide.

WOW! Fabulous shot and colors!

Artist Reply: Thanks. I did touch up the colours slightly but only because my digital camera usually slightly under saturates colours.

What incredible, beautiful colors! I love the contrast of the tree against the fall foliage.

Artist Reply: I will admit that I slid the saturation bar up from 50% to 55% but only because I found that digital cameras often reduce the saturation of the scene. I am used to the rich colours I get from using film.
