Greecian Goddess Eris & her Apple of Discord

Original image rendered in mixed media (pen & ink polished off with deep, rich colored pencil tones) on 11" x 14" thin Bumble bee Art paper. will be single mounted with archival-non-yellowing, dry-clear glue on stiff white cardboard. Artist name and dates on all work. Any and all comments, feedback would be fully appreciated. ** In Greek Mythology, Eris was the sister to Ares (The God of War aand upheaval) and a third sister, Enyo. Eris was the goddess of chaos and discord. (which would later be used to name her ROMAN counterpart--Discordia). In a version of what could only be labeled the first Beauty contest, between Athena, Aphrodite, and Hera, the mortal Paris was to judge who was the most beautiful; however when Eris threw among the goddesses a Golden Apple, the 3 women fought amongst themselves for it--causing a row of discord. And then when Paris judged Aphrodite the winner, the goddesses separated by bad feelings, contempt for one another, and Historical Chaos was set in history. The Golden apple, Eris marked with a K, as symbolizing the concept of KAOS (and contempt). In this work, I took some artistic liscense and the White highlight in her otherwise Ebony colored hair, is presented to represent Eris' "Mean Streak."
