We arrived at Windsor Castle late in the day, very near to closing time, so we were not able to tour the interior of the buildings. Windsor Castle is one of the official residences of Queen Elizabeth, where we were told she stays a month and a week each year. The grounds are lovely and well kept. We were amazed, however, to see that the guards were carrying machine guns, and actually were able to capture several photos of them. Image captured 09/17/2007.
