Planet Rise

When I close my eyes and sleep I can see sites that I can never see when I am awake. An evening not too long ago I found myself witnessing the rise of a huge brightly colored globe from a planet cold and desolate. I was the only fortunate soul to witness this spectacular rising orb. It's opulence, it's wonder, it's brilliance stunned me with a beauty that leaves me silent and muted. My only recourse for me to relate this experience was to grab my brushes, oils and canvas and hopefully recount what I saw. Can my paints truly do justice to the majestic and glorious scene that unfolded in front of me during that evening's repose? I am not sure. I am just an artist whose skills are limited. Limited by the confines of reality. So you be the judge and jury and tell me the verdict you have reached. Did I accomplish what I set out to do? I will sit patiently in the dock, a prisoner of the tangible, and await your judgment. visionary imagist "Joey"

Joey, I see something so warm and vibrant rising above such a desolate and cold landscape. The "warm" forces will conquer and surrender all what is cold and dead, that is my belief. A message of hope and optimism...

Artist Reply: Gabrielle: Thanks for noticing my little effort. I always enjoy seeing your art and look forward to any and all of your comments. Thanks again my friend.

I know what you speak of. Most of my artwork is based off of my own dreams. So when I hear someone else does this very thing deep in sleep, I take notice and realize I'm not the only one. I think I've seen this place too, come to think of it.

Artist Reply: T.D. Ruley: I am glad that you understand. I find a great deal of my art comes that way too. Maybe we were there together. Thanks for sharing.
