New Beginnings - American Coot

Well Here's my submision for Canada's Habitat Stamp Competition. I wish that I hadn't procrastinated as long as I had before starting it. Because of course Once I did, it seemed that life was out to get me by constantly taking up time that I should have spent painting. Alas my time's run out and I have to ship it out today after work. It needs to be in Ottawa by Friday. It's not my best work, but it seems that my best work always comes from doing art that I want to do and not art under any sort restrictions. Guess it's just my inner rebel protesting huh ? haha Ah well 24" x 16" Oil on Masonite. Enjoy. I'll let you guys know how far I get in the judging.

Well, John perhaps the span of time you had to do it in, will produce the winning piece, or at lease very near. This is gorgeous!
