(c)2007 In preserving the past,...building up in the present,...and the future around the corner,...we live in a strange amalgamation of past and future technology standing next to each other. While around the corner is a whole new concept of living, commuting and reason for being. Will we spend billions of dollar to retrofit our deteriorating infastructure of bridges, overpasses and freeways and highways? Or pour all our dollars and resourses into the development of new means of transportation which has no need for such things? And therefore we could potentially remove all that steel, concrete and asphalt from the land and allow the land to return to it's virgin state of being. I've had dreams of just such a future. As I sat in a bubble domed high tech vehicle which talked to me and I to it as it took me to my destination,....hovering above grass covered roads where asphalt had once been. What a neat eco-future that would be,...and well worth all our efforts to pursue and bring to reality. :O)
