This is from a photo I took at Nissequogue State Park, which runs through the grounds of what used to be Kings Park State Hospital. It's a huge complex that stands abandoned and forlorn, and its state of decay brings up images of tortured souls and even hauntings, if you believe in that. Though personally, I prefer images of light and beauty, I do find some darker images intriguing and thought-provoking. We have so many unanswered questions. Image c 2007 Lynda Lehmann.
