This is an older sculpture of mine but still one of my favorites. I've never been satisfied with the traditional image of the mermaid, I wanted to come up with something that made a little more sense in an aquatic environment. At some point I'd like to continue this idea by doing a full body sculpture. She was awarded a Moderators Choice Award on Elfwood. More information on this sculpture can be found here.
