i did this a week or so ago for the portfolio review i thought i would have. anyhow, this is from a sketch i did even longer ago (months and months) and i finally decided to finish it. stop looking at her teeth; i swear they looked good before i charcoaled them. i swear. this is a photograph; the scan was embarassing. anyhow, this is my first real attempt with charcoal; i think it turned out rather well, although there are some places *coughhair/foreheadcough* which could use improvement, but really...i dont care. i'm rather proud of this, BUT does anyone know ANYTHING useful about charcoal? because...i have no idea what i'm doing =P
