so...this (would have been) the last piece i'll upload this year (if i hadn't reached my maximum upload limit for dec). it's more of a study, but i think it's representative of how my year has been. a looming shadow continually shocked me with grotesque thoughts, actions, and feelings. i wish it was to rest, but somehow, i doubt it. anyhow, i wanted to really challenge myself. its a spoon, its a self portrait, its a hand. all in all, i think it turned out really well. i think the thumb is a *little* long. and the index finger....while it is possible to know what i mean/it totally looks like it, it could also be easily misconstrued and look like a broken finger. oh well. let me know what you think of this. i tried putting darker tones in; it just didn't work. Pencil: H-F, about 4 hours.
