The human dwelling is like a theater, like acting behind the misted windows with the temporary scenery on the background. The deep gray color is amorphous, and the explicit source of light is lacking, while the harsh texture of the shutters frames the picture. The imprint is a result of multiple experiments in the darkroom. 15 years later, the digital manipulation of the black and white imprint just emphasized the deep gray color and added some subtle sepia shades to the picture, highlighting certain textural details.
