Alexandria, Louisiana (2006)

This is an imaginative cityscape of Alexandria, Louisiana with some of its prominent architectural monuments. This painting was donated to River Oaks Art Center who gave it to the outgoing Mayor of Alexandria, Ned Randolph. Many people at the ceremony, attended by over 400 people including elected officials, commented on the beauty of the work. It is 4 x 6 feet, something not clear from the photo.

Great sense of activity in this piece. Almost looks like these buildings have gathered to get good sight of the viewer. The colours are brilliant. I would love to see it in it's actual size.
