© Charlotte Thomson Art & Illustration This piece was created for two reasons, firstly the figure is to be used on a flyer for a charity burlesque night being held in Brighton (Nov 10th 2006), its also being shown at Brushes Needles and Burnouts an exhibition of lowbrow art and kustom kulture in the USA. The theme was somewhere between exotic burlesque belly dancer and traditional fantasy/adventure pulp fiction novels. I wanted that jungle tiki feel to the image aswell as her exotic costume and bird of paradise feathers. She is painted in acrylics on canvas and is part of a pair of pictures, the second being Jungle Cat.
