"I've always been fascinated with mermaids since my youth, however until now I've never had the resources nor the confidence to express the proper adulation. This is yet only my second "honest" attempt at the fairies of the sea that, according to legend, led fishermen to their doom! Who knows, if I really get inspired, maybe I'll do a series!!?!? ^_^

She's very mysterious and alluring and has a very nice pose and flowing hair . The moon and its reflection add to the intrigue of your subject, Steve. And I love the way you toned the warmth of the sand in contrast with the deep blues of the sky and ocean. Her silvery coloring enhances the mood you set here. Sensitive use of color-well done!

love your mermaids. I am from Norfolk Va. and their logo/icon for the city is a mermaid. Have you ever thought about putting some of your prints in the area, maybe in a 3x5 size as a postcard? We get alot of tourists during the summer months. e-mail me back if you are interested and i will see if I can get you some more info on this.
