I've recently painted this for a friendly challenge called 'Pastels Strokes' organised on another art site.
The goal was for each participant to give his/her own interpretation of a photo. This time the subject was a beautiful palomino mare and here's my submission... Thanks for looking.

Outstanding work. Love the colors and the delicate features of this stunning Palomino. I hope you work more with pastels. This is beautiful work and I love the detail of this exquisite horse.
